Nominations should be submitted by 5:00 p.m., February 1.

Each academic unit is invited to nominate members of the faculty who merit recognition in the category named in the award. Internal nomination procedures for all of the awards are to be determined by the individual units. Selection of award winners will be made by a committee comprising previous faculty awardees. That committee will select recipients only if a candidate befitting the award’s purpose is nominated; alternatively, it is possible that more than one faculty member may be honored in the same year.

Each academic unit is strongly encouraged to nominate at least one faculty member each year.

All full-time faculty members (tenure-track, tenured or term) at any rank (instructor, assistant professor, associate professor or professor) in the College are eligible for the awards detailed below, with the exception of the Humanities and Sciences Distinguished Adjunct Award, which honors outstanding members of the adjunct faculty.

Review the descriptions of the awards.

For all nominations, please provide the following:

  1. a letter of nomination (not to exceed 3 pages) delineating the nominee’s merits in terms of the particular award for which they are a candidate
  2. the candidate’s curriculum vitae
  3. a statement of the faculty candidate’s willingness to be nominated

Nominations should be submitted using the Faculty Awards Nomination Form by 5:00 p.m., February 1.
