CHS dean search committee updates
January 31 Update
Thank you for your participation in the College of Humanities and Sciences dean candidates’ visits to our campus. The candidate open forums and feedback forms have been posted on the provost website and require CAS log-in to view.
The videos will be pulled down and the feedback forms closed February 10 at noon. We encourage everyone to interact with the videos and feedback forms and look forward to your responses.

The provost's office has just finalized the dates, times and locations for the remaining open fora for the dean candidates.

January 14 Update
The committee leading the search for the position of dean, College of Humanities and Sciences will host open fora during January for the university community to hear from the final candidates. January 10 Update
On Tuesday, January 14, we will welcome the first candidate to campus. Please join us for an open forum with the candidate scheduled for 2-3 p.m. in the University Student Commons SGA Senate Chambers. At this time, all candidate names are confidential; however they will be listed on the provost's website under password protection soon.
November 11 Update
We have received more than 80 applications for the CHS dean position from all over the U.S. and beyond, many of whom were excellent. The search committee met last week and selected candidates to move forward for off-campus interviews. The first round of interviews includes a diverse candidate pool representing many different disciplines.
October 7 Update
The search process for a new dean is continuing in a silent but very active phase. Nominations and applications are being received by the search firm Greenwood/Asher. We are still on schedule to review applications at the end of October with initial interviews in early November.

September 16 Update
An open forum for faculty and staff members was held on August 26 to hear opinions about the search. Many valuable comments were received. The position has been posted and our search firm partner Greenwood/Asher is actively promoting the position. Please send your nominations to Betty Asher at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The search committee is scheduled to review applications at the end of October with initial interviews in early November. While there will not be much to inform you about between now and November please be assured that there is a lot of activity going on to encourage applicants.
