CHS staff members honored at VCU Staff Senate Awards for Excellence

These awards provide the deserved exposure and recognition of the hard work and extraordinary achievements of staff, which make VCU the great place it is to work today.

Four CHS staff members were honored at the VCU Staff Senate Awards for Excellence. Our congratulations go to:

  • Deborah Butler, Department of Psychology, won the 2021 Champion of Diversity and Inclusion Award, an honor bestowed to an individual staff member who promotes diversity and inclusive excellence throughout the university.
  • Levi Walter, Department of Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies, won the 2021 Benchmark Award for New Employee, an honor bestowed to a salaried VCU or VCU Health staff member who has served with VCU or VCU Health no longer than three years. The recipient shows promise in their field and is making a large impact on the VCU community in the short time (six months to three years) that they have been a part of the university.
  • Stacey Maples, Department of Psychology, won the 2021 Exceptional Customer Service Award, an honor bestowed to an individual staff member who promotes and exemplifies VCU’s customer service.
  • Danielle Terrell, Department of Psychology, won the 2021 Professional Integrity Award, an honor bestowed to an individual staff member who promotes and exemplifies VCU’s ethical standards.
