CHS welcomes Taj Harris-Paiva to the Development and Alumni Relations team
We are pleased to announce that Tazjia (Taj) Harris-Paiva has joined the CHS Development and Alumni Relations team as a major gift officer. In this role, Taj will be advocating on behalf of department, school and College philanthropic initiatives.
Taj is an enthusiastic advancement professional who has served as a university development officer for VCU in the central development office for the past year. In this role, she cultivated and solicited philanthropic gifts in the major gift capacity across all units and programs of VCU.
Prior to joining VCU, Taj held several roles at Virginia State University as the digital strategist, communications and public relations specialist within the president's office, later transitioning to advancement in the role of annual giving manager. Responsible for establishing the first university sanctioned Day of Giving, she found success in developing, conceptualizing and executing giving campaigns collaborating with academic partners and stakeholders.
Taj holds a bachelor's in communications from Hampton University and is a member of the Virginia Association of Fundraising Executives (VAFRE), Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), Council Communications Association (CCA) and the African American Development Officer (AADO) Network.
