Dean's Professor Program
Many faculty in the College of Humanities and Sciences have expertise as interdisciplinary as our college’s name – they have interests and credentials beyond their academic home.
To realize the dean’s goal to bring faculty from throughout the college together to achieve a more interdisciplinary learning environment, we want to recognize and facilitate a faculty member’s ability to teach in more than one academic unit. To allow for more fluidity in the process of faculty teaching in different academic units, we have developed the Dean’s Professor program.
Faculty that apply and are designated as Dean’s Professor will receive $1,000 in summer stipend for course development. In addition to teaching in their home academic unit, the faculty members will teach a course for a department outside their academic home during the 2025/26 academic year.
