Amy Bailey joins the College of Humanities and Sciences as the department and community engagement coordinator for the Department of Forensic Science. Prior to VCU, Amy worked for the United States Department of Agriculture for 32 years as an agricultural statistician.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in agricultural economics from the University of Maryland at College Park, and is also Project Management Professional certified.
In Amy's spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling and watching TV to relax and unwind.
Adam Dunn joins the College of Humanities and Sciences as office manager for the School of Life Sciences and Sustainability. He previously worked for the biology front office as an hourly student worker and administrative assistant.
He holds a B.S. in biology and B.S. in environmental science from Salisbury University, and an M.S. in biology from VCU.
Prior to moving to Richmond for graduate school, he ran multi-day environmental education programs for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation on remote islands throughout the bay, including Smith Island, Maryland; Tangier, Virginia; and Fox Island, Virginia. In addition to spending a lot of time in and around Chesapeake wetlands, his interest in pursuing graduate school was influenced by his next job as a research assistant in the Biogeochemistry Lab at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center in Edgewater, Maryland, where he helped upkeep long term wetland ecology experiments at the Global Change Research Wetland and collected data on routine plant biomass and greenhouse gas flux surveys.
He lives in Varina with his spouse and two dogs, Gillyweed and Moony.

Mandy James joins the College of Humanities and Sciences as a senior advisor in the Interdisciplinary Science Program. Prior to this position, she was an assistant teaching professor with the Explore program at Arizona State University where she taught courses that helped students design their time at ASU and beyond. Before that she worked as an academic advisor at ASU, and before that, as an academic advisor at VCU, which is where she got her start in higher education. She recently returned to the area and is very happy to be back.
Mandy has a five-year old who just started kindergarten which has given her special insight into the importance of transitions - especially in educational settings. She really enjoys helping students discover and explore their interests while connecting them to various possibilities in and beyond college.
Outside of work, Mandy loves trying new restaurants, visiting new places, going to museums and going to concerts. She also really enjoys finding new parks to walk in and taking in the beauty of the city and surrounding area.
Mandy has a B.S. in psychology from ODU and an M.Ed. in counselor education (college student development) from VCU.
