CHS welcomes Corey Moore to the Dean's Office

Corey will serve as associate dean for enrollment and student success.
Corey Moore

The College of Humanities and Sciences is pleased to announce the appointment of Corey Moore to associate dean for enrollment and student success for the College of Humanities and Sciences. He will begin in this role on January 10.

Corey is joining us from the University of Kentucky’s College of Nursing, where he served as the assistant dean of students for advising and student success. As assistant dean, Corey led student services activities spanning admissions, academic advising, recruitment, and retention. A major focus of his leadership was growing enrollment and access within nursing programs, particularly for students of color and male students, by fostering strategic recruitment partnerships and strengthening pre-nursing pipelines. Prior to the University of Kentucky, Corey served as director of nursing administration and student affairs, and an academic advisor at the University of Memphis, Loewenberg College of Nursing.

Corey has spent 20 years working in higher education, and he brings a deep understanding of cross-collaboration and relationship building, student advocacy, and the creation of inclusive environments. We are excited to have him join us and look forward to his contributions to the mission of the College of Humanities and Sciences.

CHS also wants to express its gratitude to Krista Scott for her outstanding contributions. Under her able leadership, the College of Humanities and Sciences elevated its success in recruitment and retention. Her insights, energy, and focus made a tremendous difference. Her new role as associate vice president for strategic enrollment management special programs similarly enables her to elevate our work in CHS.

Please help us thank Krista for her service and welcome Corey to the College of Humanities and Sciences when he joins us in January!
