What brought you to VCU?

I graduated from VCU’s Department of English in 2017, so when I saw the job posting it seemed like a natural fit.

Can you describe what you currently do in your role at VCU? What does your day-to-day look like?

I'm kind of the kitchen sink here. General admin is how I usually describe it. I handle travel coordination, assist with event planning, financial reimbursements, answer general inquiries, administer faculty reviews, complete building manager tasks, and a lot of other small duties throughout the week. I'm also like the quasi tech person sometimes too.

Tell us about the things you are most passionate about.

I still love books! Even though I'm not in school anymore, it stuck through all the years so I spend a lot of time reading and hunting down new stuff. I like rock climbing a lot as well. I worked at a gym from ages 16-21 and just started again this summer. I’m trying not to get hurt.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Winning the award for "Writing & Directing Strange Plays" in my 7th grade English class.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise people.

I can cook – pretty well sometimes too! My favorite dish to cook is probably tikka masala.
