Cynthia Newbille, Ph.D.
Newville serves as the Council representative for the Richmond City Council's East End 7th Voter District.
The Honorable Cynthia Newville, Ph.D., is president of the Richmond City Council and serves as the Council representative for the Richmond City Council's East End 7th Voter District. She was first elected to City Council in 2009. Newbille also is an adviser to the president for special projects at the Richmond Memorial Health Foundation.
Newbille has been involved in several initiatives to strengthen the health and wellbeing of residents in the 7th district. The VCU Health Hub at 25th Street in the heart of the East End community is an example of an initiative (among many) in which she has collaborated with VCU.
Newbille received her Ph.D. in public policy and administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010.
