Heather Anderson is the community engagement coordinator at the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia. In this role, she is responsible for planning, outreach and overseeing events and community partnerships and engagement. Anderson’s work and dedication to the museum are motivated by its mission to preserve stories that inspire people when they visit the museum.

Anderson attended Hampton University and is currently completing her degree in project management at Virginia State University. The Richmond City Sheriff's Office also employs her. A native Richmonder, Anderson has been engaged in community service and volunteer activities throughout her life, personally and professionally. She enjoys arts and culture, music, and being outdoors and with nature.
