African American Studies
Lisa Winn Bryan, Ed.D.
Bryan has research interests in historic preservation, community engagement, genealogy, African American Studies and the history of the enslaved.
Cheryl Montgomery, Ph.D.
Montgomery examines southern Black women’s practices of community, documenting the ways these women take up and transform physical and virtual spaces.
Biology
Gaston Ignacio Jofre-Rodriguez, Ph.D.
Jofre-Rodriguez is a biologist who specializes in evolutionary genomics and genomic signatures of speciation.

Geoff Bouvier, Ph.D.
Bouvier has previously published two books of prose poetry, including the APR/Honickman Prize-winning “Living Room.”
SJ Sindu, Ph.D.
Sindu's research interests include queer studies, postcolonial studies and critical theory.
Forensic Science
Stephen Stockman
Stockman has spent the past 18 years as an instructor for the Virginia Forensic Science Academy where he taught crime scene investigation skills to police personnel.

Travis Chezik
Chezik has been part of the VCU community since 2015 – first as a student, then as an instructor.
Nick Wong, Ph.D.
Wong's research examines how the lack of prerequisite skills and concepts affects student success in math courses.
Psychology
Alicia Borre, Ph.D.
Borre's research aims to better understand individual and contextual factors that promote resilience among children, youth and families in the face of adversity.
Ann Haynos, Ph.D.
Haynos' research focus is on identifying and intervening upon the biological and behavioral decision-making mechanisms that promote the development and maintenance of psychological disorders of rigidity, especially anorexia nervosa.
World Studies
Olivia Landry, Ph.D.
Landry is a scholar of film, media, theater and performance studies, with a particular focus on the German speaking world.
